The player in question this time around is Darren Woods, of Team 888Poker who won the $2,500 Limit Hold’Em 6 Max Event. Woods hails from Grimsby and has tasted success at the WSOP before. Last year he won over $74,000 in three events at the annual event, and he also cashed at the WSOPE last September when he finished 35th in the Main Event collecting $21,106 but those finishes have been firmly put in the shade by his efforts over the last couple of days. The final table include Kim Nguyen who was looking to be the first woman to win a WSOP event, but she had to settle for second place behind Woods. Action at the final table was limited by the blinds more so than big hands dominating proceedings but the heads-up battle lasted around 90 minutes before all the chips were committed.
