WSOP $1,500 NLHE Triple Chance down to 10

Headlining the final 10 players in the $1,500 No Limit Holdem Triple Chance tournament at the 2011 World Series of Poker is longtime poker player, and math whiz, Bill Chen, who will enter Thursday’s action fifth in chips with 610,000.

Chen, who already owns two WSOP bracelets and has amassed over $1.2 million in career tournament earnings, is best known to the masses for his theoretical work on poker, but serious poker players know not to take his playing skills lightly.

While Chen is a mere 120,000 chips behind the #2 man on the leader-board, Justin Sterberg, all of the remaining players are looking up at chip-leader Nicholas Rampone who will take a massive 1.5 million into the final day of the tournament.

Here are the chip counts for the remaining players:

1. Nicholas Rampone – 1,500,000

2. Justin Sternberg – 737,000

3. Anders Meli – 658,000

4. Andrea Dato – 613,000

5. Bill Chen – 610,000

6. Corey Hastings – 546,000

7. Richard Trigg – 454,000

8. Steve Watts – 439,000

9. David Diaz – 324,000

10. Matthew Henson – 101,000
