In addition to the three World Series of Poker bracelets handed out on Sunday, two other tournaments were also in action with Day 1b of the $1k No Limit Holdem tournament getting started, as well as Day 2 of the 2-7 Lowball tournament which reached the final table by the end of the day.

$1,000 NLHE Tournament

2,062 players joined the 2,116 from Day 1a putting the total attendance for the $1k NLHE tournament at 4,178, slightly below last year’s total of 4,345 entrants –not too bad considering the current climate post-Black Friday.

Remarkably at the end of the day only 312 players remained in the field, which is precisely the same number of survivors from Day 1a! Amongst the chip leaders from Day 1b were Jon Turner, Annette Obrestad, Gavin Griffin, and Layne Flack who all managed to finish in the Top 10.

$1,500 2-7 Lowball Tournament

On the opposite end of the spectrum, the 2-7 Lowball tournament, which attracted a total of 275 entrants played down to the final table on Day 2. The final table consists of a few notable names, most prominently amongst them is the short-stack Jason Mercier. Joining Mercier at the final table are Bernard Lee, Josh Brikis, and Chris Bjorin.

1. Matt Perrins — 293,000

2. Bernard Lee — 265,000

3. Chris Bjorin — 197,500

4. Thomas Fuller — 168,000

5. Josh Brikis — 119,000

6. Robin Rightmire — 107,000

7. Jason Mercier — 89,000
