Tom Dwan down over $1 million on Tuesday
It can happen fast at the nosebleed tables on Full Tilt Poker as Tom ‘durrrr’ Dwan knows only too well, as he’s been on both sides of the coin in the past. Yesterday saw the Full Tilt Poker sponsored pro get absolutely crushed at the online poker tables losing over $1 million total according to highstakesdb.com. After his massive downswing in late 2009, durrrr will be on full alert not to have a repeat performance in 2010.
Dwan’s biggest losses came at the hands of one of 2010 biggest online losers ‘Cadillac1944’, who relieved Dwan of $740,000 in a 1,000 hand session of $500/$1,000 PLO. Sandwiched in between the dreadful loss to Cadillac1944 was a $218,000 loss to Bttech86 at the $100/$200 PLO tables to start the day, and durrrr finished with a few small losses to surpass the $1 million mark.
The $1 million loss dropped Dwan from the #2 spot on the list of 2010’s biggest winners all the way down to #4, with Andreas “skjervoy” Tobergsen and Phil Ivey vaulting in front of durrrr. Dwan has fallen under $3 million in total winnings for the year, and Daniel ‘jungleman12’ Cates looks to have the title of biggest winner in 2010 all but wrapped up with over $5 million in profits.
Amazingly, both Ivey and Torbergsen have played very few hands online compared to the other big winners in 2010: For a comparison, durrrr has played nearly 6-times the number of hands as Ivey, and nearly 8-times the hands of Torbergsen!
