BRUNSON 10 – The four so far…
In 2009 Doyle Brunson announced he would be creating a team of internet poker
players to travel around the world representing DoylesRoom.com for him. So far there have been 5 players announced, with one of them leaving already – Alec Torelli. Here is some information on the other four players who have currently been chosen.
Chris Moorman
23-year old Chris Moorman is an unstoppable force in online MTT’s. He first began playing poker in university along with his friends. They started off playing freeroll tournaments and after a few months Moorman was able to win one. He was awarded $70 for the win and immediately started building his poker bankroll. He began playing the micro stakes games and quickly ground it up to a bankroll comfortable enough to play the $2/$4 NLHE games. However, it wasn’t his cash game success which shot him into the spotlight. Moorman began crushing online tournaments and quickly rose through the ranks to be one of the best online multi-table tournament players in the world. Moorman’s biggest online cash to date is $204k for coming second in an FTOPS event. Now that he is a part of the Brunson 10 he hopes to achieve some live tournament success.
Dani Stern
Dani Stern, best known by his online poker alias ‘ansky’, is one of the best online poker players in the world. He has consistently posted great results in online cash games and can be found playing on Full Tilt Poker in the $5/$10 – $25/$50 NLHE games which are notoriously tough. He is also a part of popular poker training site Deuces Cracked where players pay a monthly subscription and get to watch training videos. Despite mainly focusing on online cash games, ‘ansky’ claimed a massive live tournament win at the 2009 WSOP. He was able to take down the special $40k buy-in event for $548k.
Zachary Clark
Best known by his online poker alias ‘CrazyZachary’, Zach is a nephew of late poker legend Chip Reese, regarded by many as the best all-round poker player in the world. His biggest win online was for just under $300k and at only 24 years of age, he has shown he has the ability to be a true force in the poker world.
Amit Makhija
Known best by his online poker alias ‘AMAK316’, Amit became a full time poker player as soon as he finished University. In his first year of going pro he made 12 cashes which gave his bankroll a massive boost. His biggest cash was second place at the WPT Legends of Poker event for a staggering $563k. He was won an online tournament for another $500k.
More players are set to be announced for the Brunson 10 in coming weeks.
