Isildur1 returns with a bang
A couple of months ago a player known only as Isildur1 appeared from literally nowhere and began playing the biggest names in online poker at the highest stakes available.
In less than two weeks he had used his hyper-aggressive style to win over $5,000,000, most of it from Tom “durrrr” Dwan, but in roughly the same time he managed to lose the entire amount plus another $2,000,000 besides! His biggest loss occurred when he played Brian “Stinger” Hastings, a top Omaha player who makes poker video tutorials for the training site Cardrunners, and he bled around $4,200,000 to him in a single session!
Isildur1 then disappeared from the tables as quickly as he arrived, either taking time away to get over the shock of the roller coaster ride he had just endured or maybe to rebuild his shattered bankroll but in the past couple of weeks he has been spotted back online, albeit playing $25/$50 and $50/$100 instead of the $500/$1000 games railbirds were accustomed to seeing him at.
Then on Monday 15 February, Isildur1 logged on and played almost non-stop for 30 hours, once again taking on some of the biggest names the online poker world had to offer. First up was Isaac Haxton, one of the best heads-up players in the world and after 2,022 hands, Isildur1 had lost close to $90,000.
Not content with booking a losing session, he then took on Justin “ZeeJustin” Bonomo at six tables of $200/$400 heads-up and proceeded to relieve his opponent of a cool $567,515 in around 2,000 hands. Most players would have simply logged off after winning nearly half a million dollars but not Isildur1, he opted to play some $300/$600 pot-limit Omaha and walked away with another $400,000!
By the time Isildur1 logged off Full Tilt, after almost 30 hours of play, he banked a profit of $1,187,406! Not bad for a day’s work!
