New Full Tilt VIP Program targets high-volume players

tom dwan viktor blomAfter recently dropping to #4 in the traffic rankings, according to pokerscout.com, Full Tilt Poker has given its VIP Loyalty Program –known as Edge Rewards– a major makeover aimed at pulling in more high-volume poker players. When Full Tilt Poker relaunched back in November of 2012 it did so with a pared-down VIP program that didn’t sit well with the high-volume grinders looking for rakeback and cash-back rewards, but even at this time the site left open the possibility of expanding the program in the future; something the site did this week.

The changes to the Full Tilt Poker VIP program should give the site a boost in traffic, and bring back many of the high-volume players the site has lost due to their subpar rewards system. Among the new changes Full Tilt Poker players can expect to find are:

* The return of Full Tilt Poker’s Black Card Program

Full Tilt Poker’s VIP program will see a huge expansion at the top with the return of the Black Card Program. Only high-volume individuals can become Black Card players, which can boost cash-back percentages at the site from about 25% up to nearly 40%, making Full Tilt’s top tier on par with online poker sites.

* The capability to transfer your VIP level from another online poker site

Full Tilt Poker is apparently the first online poker site to accept their competitor’s coupons, offering players at other online poker “Poker Amnesty”. By depositing at Full Tilt Poker in April players are able to transfer their VIP level at competing sites over to Full Tilt Poker.

In a press release Full Tilt Head of Marketing Sarne Lightman explained the amnesty program in the following way, “We understand that players have put many hours, weeks and sometimes months into earning their VIP status on other sites while unable to play on Full Tilt Poker. The amnesty will allow them to trial our Edge Rewards and Black Card programs at the equivalent level and see for themselves the superior benefits their play level offers at Full Tilt Poker.”

In order to receive “Poker Amnesty” at Full Tilt you will need to take a screenshot of your VIP status at a competing poker site and send it to blackcard@fulltiltpoker.com with your FTP account information.

* Sponsorship Contracts

In the near future Full Tilt Poker will also be handing out sponsorship contracts to the top-performing Black Card players in the site. While the details are still being finalized, Full Tilt has announced that they will award the top cash-game, Sit & Go, and MTT players at the site with six-month contracts.
