PokerStars guarantees $30 million for 2011 WCOOP

wcoop tournamentWith the daily grind of the World Series of Poker now over, the online poker world will soon turn its attention to the 2011 World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) at PokerStars, so fasten your seat belts as we prepare to embark upon a 23-day, 62-tournament journey with $30 million in guaranteed prize-money up for grabs!

Even with Black Friday shutting out all US poker players, the $30 million in guaranteed prize money is more than PokerStars offered for all but the last two WCOOP’s –last year’s Main Event pulled in over $12 million alone, a number the 2011 WCOOP Main Event is likely to fall well short of.

With the schedule now finalized here is a look at some of the featured tournaments on the 2011 WCOOP schedule:

Sunday September 4, 2011

* Event #1: $215 NL Hold’em [6-Max] — $1,000,000 guaranteed

* Event #2: $10,300 NL Hold’em [High Roller] — $1,250,000 guaranteed

* Event #3: $215 NL Hold’em — $1,250,000 guaranteed

Sunday September 11, 2011

* Event #21: $215 NL Hold’em — $1,250,000 guaranteed

* Event #22: $530 NL Hold’em — $1,500,000 guaranteed

Sunday September 18, 2011

* Event #40: $215 NL Hold’em — $1,000,000 guaranteed

* Event #42: $1,050 NL Hold’em — $1,500,000 guaranteed

Sunday September 25, 2011

* Event #60: $215 NL Hold’em — $1,250,000 guaranteed

* Event #62: $5,200 NL Hold’em Main Event (20% 1st Place Gtd) — $5,000,000 guaranteed
