Daniel Negreanu Bio
Daniel Negreanu is one of the most well known poker players who graces the professional poker player roster for PokerStars, the largest online poker room in the world.
Negreanu wanted to become a professional snooker player from a young age, taking to the local pool halls in Toronto, Canada to perfect his game.
Spending his time in that environment, he was openly made available to other members of the pool hall playing poker while he was there playing snooker, capturing enough attention from the player to have him interested enough to try out the game.
After realising that poker offered him the thrill and excitement that he desires, he was soon hooked on the game, deciding to move to Las Vegas, Nevada soon after making the switch to playing poker.
Since his decision to move to Las Vegas, Negreanu has gone from strength to strength, creating a new level of poker superstar and furthermore producing possibly the best live tournament poker results ever seen.
1998 saw Negreanu break into the World Series of Poker history books, becoming the youngest poker player to win a WSOP winners bracelet ever at the age of 23 years old.
With Negreanu now possessing one World Series of Poker bracelet, he became hungry for more, starting a string of impressive shows within the tournament series with a second place finish in the other WSOP tournament he entered into that same year and then returning to Las Vegas, Nevada the following year to double his bracelet tally.
2009 marked a new landmark for PokerStars, the worlds largest online poker room, playing with the screen name ‘KidPoker’, more often than not you will be able to find him gracing the tournament tables rather than the real money cash games, unless of course you’re about to sit down at the high stakes on offer.
When not playing poker, Daniel has been seen to offer his services as a commentator for a number of poker related television channels as well as heading back to the old times and shooting a frame or too at the local pool hall.
