Tony G joins team Party Poker deal includes Tony G Poker
Tony G, whose real name is Antanas Gouga, is the newest face at Party Poker. Tony G is perhaps best known to the general masses for his wild, brash, behavior on the World Poker Tour, but Tony is also a major player in the world of poker with his hand in many different facets of the industry. Despite the poor etiquette displayed by Tony G on the WPT, he is widely respected in the poker world, is considered an all-around nice guy, and has many fans.
The deal not only brings Tony G in as a sponsored player and spokesman for the popular online poker site, but also included Party Poker buying out Tony G Poker, a smaller online poker site with a fair amount of traffic. The move follows on the heels of Party poker’s signing of Poker After Dark host Kara Scott.
Tony G is also well known in the poker world for backing players, his outspoken and revealing blog entries, and as the owner of Poker News, one of the largest online poker portals in the world.
