Full Tilt Poker Hosts PokerGives.org Charity Tournament
On the 4th April Full Tilt Poker is teaming up with PokerGives.org to run a special $5+$5 charity tournament which will benefit charity organizations in America.
The chivalrous MTT takes place on Full Tilt Poker, and there are a number of fantastic prizes and bonuses added to the prizepool. The prizes contributed so far have a combined value of over $3,900 and include six months of poker coaching from Deuces Cracked, a one month CardRunners Gold Subscription, poker sunglasses from Blue Shark Optics, poker books, a $200 gift certificate to Andrew Shirley and Company, and even a one-year free subscription to Bluff Magazine among others.
In order to participate in this one-off event and grab your hands on these awesome prizes, poker players should log into Full Tilt Poker, go to the Tournament Lobby and register for the Private Tournament ID 137275439. The password for the event is “PokerNations”, who are sponsoring the charity event alongside the Twitter Poker Tour. Users should then post their Full Tilt username in the PokerNations forum in the relevant tournament thread.
Beneficiaries of the online charity tournament include the Special Olympics, Paralyzed Veterans of America, Intrepid Fallen Heroes and the Step by Step Foundation.
Of course the event isn’t the first of its nature to be scheduled by Full Tilt Poker. Back in February 2009, the world’s 2nd largest online poker room decided to sponsor the Kandy Masquerade Charity Event at the Playboy Mansion. This had a hefty $1,000 buy-in with all contributions going towards the Nevada Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. As well as this, Full Tilt delivered over $650,000 to provide relief to the recent Haiti disaster (one of many chivalrous contributions by poker organizations to survivors of the region), and The Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS) also ran a successful $120 Ante Up for Africa charity event back in august, which included many celebrities and poker notables.
