The World Poker Tour is making its first stop in the city of Prague this week, and the big name poker pros came out in full force (attendance was likely helped by the EPT coming to Prague on the fifth of December as well). Not only did a number of the big names in the poker world make the trip to the Czech Republic, but many finished Day 1a of the WPT Prague near the top of the leader-board, including 2011 WSOP November Niner Eoghan O’Dea who finished in the Top 10.

The WPT Prague will feature a re-entry format, so players eliminated on Day 1a of the tournament who have a spare €3,500 burning a hole in their pocket can take a second shot on Day 1b. In all, 231 players registered on Day 1a, and it’s highly likely that at least that many will register on Day 1b.

On Day 1a it was the Jan Show, as Jan Ramik and Jan Bendik ended the day in #1 and #2 on the leader-board. In addition to O’Dea, another 2011 November Niner managed to make it through to Day 2 of the tournament, WSOP runner-up and new Team PokerStars Pro Martin Staszko. Here is a look at a few of the other big names who also puched their tickets to Day 2: Tobias Reinkemeier, Mohsin Charania, David Peters, Vitaly Lunkin, James Akenhead, Grayson Ramage, Mike “SirWatts” Watson, Sam El Sayed, Bryn Kenney and Dominik Nitsche.
