One of the latest updates many sites have been making is to offer a fully downloadable version of their software to MAC users, who were previously limited to playing in some sort of Flash window. The latest site to jump on the MAC bandwagon is Party Poker. Party Poker unveiled their MAC download earlier this week, giving MAC users something to cheer about.

Without access to fully downloadable software, MAC users were unable to utilize all of the enhanced features poker sites now offer, including resizable tables and other important functions. It’s likely that many MAC users play at Party Poker (or will play at Party Poker now that they offer a MAC client) considering the site has been downloaded an estimated 30 million times since it came into existence in 2001.

The move is likely part of an effort by Party Poker to put some added distance between themselves and the iPoker Network (iPoker does not currently offer a MAC download) as they battle for the #2 spot behind PokerStars for online poker supremacy.
