Phil Ivey Joins Virtue Poker As Cryptocurrency Poker Room Prepare
Phil Ivey has become the latest poker pro to sign up as a strategic advisor to Virtue Poker, the cryptocurrency online poker room that has already brought on board top poker pros such as Brian Rast and Dan Colman. The online poker room is preparing to launch in the fall of 2018 and will use the expertise and services of Phil Ivey to prepare for a successful launch.
Virtue Poker – Phil Ivey Partnership
Phil Ivey is a Poker Hall of Famer (PHoF) that has kept a relatively low profile on the poker circuit in America because he has preferred to spend his time playing live poker and online poker in Asia. There are a number of reasons why Ivey could be avoiding the limelight of the American circuit and one of those is because he has been involved in two high profile lawsuits where Crawfords in London and the Borgata in Atlantic City are suing him for cheating the casino by using an illegal card counting method to beat the house. Ivey and his Asian poker partner won millions of dollars from both casinos and is alleged to have used card counting or edge sorting in both instances.
Virtue Poker does not seem to mind the potential damage that Ivey’s reputation has suffered in recent years over these allegations and was happy to sign an agreement with Ivey. The 40 year old poker pro will use his vast experience to provide strategic advice to Virtue Poker as they prepare for launch and will also leverage his wealth of contacts in the industry to open doors, build brand awareness and introduce Virtue Poker to new markets.
Virtue Poker – Ready For A Challenge
Virtue Poker will have to do something extraordinary if it is to become a force in the global online poker market as other new online poker operators have tried in the past to overthrow PokerStars, the market leader but have failed. The online poker giant is said to have control over 60 percent of the global online poker market and the rest of the playing field is dominated by 888poker and partypoker.
This is one of the main reasons why Virtue Poker has signed top poker pros in the industry such as Dan Colman, Brian Rast and now Phil Ivey as the company will look to these top poker pros to help it break into new markets, capture market share and become a major force in the months to come.
Virtue Poker co-founder Ryan Gittleson is confident that his company will be able to launch a unique product using blockchain technology to take advantage of the growing popularity of the cryptocurrency market and introduce an online poker room that is based on cryptocurrency and blockchain technology to provide poker players with a unique, safe and robust gaming experience.
One of the most unique features of Virtue Poker is that its Random Number Generator (RNG) will not be stored in an offshore server but be present in each virtual machine that a player is using and will be used to shuffle each deck before play begins. Online time will tell if Virtue Poker turns out to be the latest success in the online poker industry or just another poker website.
