Stars Group Launches New Poker Game PokerStars Power Up
Stars Group Incorporated has launched a new online poker game called PokerStars Power Up, which blends traditional poker strategies with the features of the latest video games. The new game has splendid graphics, immersive video and visual effects, and multiple avatars, taking traditional poker gaming to a totally new level.
The game was created by a team of eSports and poker pros in collaboration with PokerStars’ in-house team of game developers. Developed along the lines of a traditional online poker tournament, the game is full of thrilling twists. It will be released on all PokerStars sites, including its .eu, .net, .uk, and .com domains, during the following week.
PokerStars Power Up
PokerStars Power Up follows the NL Hold’em SnG format and can be played by three players, who are required to choose from stake levels such as $1, $3, $7, or $15. Each player will receive two poker hands and an equal number of chips to begin with. They will also receive two special powers, which will be selected for them at random.
These special powers, called Intel, Clone, Scanner, and Disintegrate, are continuously reloaded as the game progresses, and players can use them to alter the course of the game. These powers enable players to do a number of things such as obtain copies of the previous power, peep into the deck, force opponents to show their cards, or totally eliminate a card from the table. Since each power requires energy to function, players are required to implement special strategies to maintain their energy level.
Stars Group Incorporated owns several online gambling brands such as PokerStars Casino, PokerStars, Full Tilt, BetStars, and StarsDraft, which it operates through its gaming division called Stars Interactive Group. The company also owns live poker tours such as the PokerStars Festival, PokerStars Championship, PokerStars MEGASTACK, and PokerStars Caribbean Adventure. Wholly owned subsidiaries of the company have been granted the license to offer online gambling services or products in jurisdictions all over the world. PokerStars, for example, has received operating licenses in 17 countries.
Will Leverage 113 Million Users
All these above-mentioned brands have more than 113 million combined registered users from all over the world. Stars Group Inc. is one of the biggest poker businesses across the globe, offering live poker tournaments, online poker games, and sponsored live poker events. The company also organizes marketing campaigns for branded live poker rooms at land-based casinos all over the world, creates content for Internet users and TV viewers, and operates a wide range of non-poker gaming services such as daily fantasy sports, sports betting, and casino games.
Rafi Ashkenazi, the chief executive officer of Stars Group, said that PokerStars Power Up has modernized the traditional game of poker to make it exciting not only for poker players, but also for non-poker players. He revealed that player reaction and feedback during the alpha testing of the game in July and August was quite encouraging and that the company is optimistic about the new game’s ability to popularize poker among mobile players and to rejuvenate the interest of former players.
