Ben Wilinofsky has won the latest European Poker Tour event, which was staged in Berlin over the weekend. He walked away from the tournament with a cool €825,000 in his pocket, not a bad weekends pay cheque for your first ever cash in a live tournament. Wilinofsky is well known amongst online players and has won over $1.7Million on one of the best No Risk Poker Sites, PokerStars alone, but never before has he had success playing live, until now that is. His win at the weekend puts all his online achievements in the shade, as his largest cash to date came last year when he won $95,049 in a $109 No Limit Hold’em Multi Table Tournament. He started the final day as the chip leader and he was never to surrender his lead on the way to claiming the title. He beat Max Heinemann in a heads-up battle, but took over an hour to defeat him, despite starting their duel with nearly 10

million more chips than his opponent. It was not such a bad result for second placed Heinemann though as he walked away with €500,000 for his weekends work. The current season, which is the seventh of the European Poker Tour, is almost over now with only two more stop offs remaining. The last but one event takes place between April 27 and May 3 in San Remo, Italy before the Grand Final in Madrid.
