Boatman Takes Down High Rollers Event @ WPT Marrakech.
What a year it has been for the Hendon Mob, especially Ross Boatman over the past few months he has made final tables at the World Series of poker and its European counterpart the WSOPE both in Pot Limit Omaha and a 3rd place finish at the recently terminated London Poker Circuit.
To add to his vast array of final tables Boatman has just taken down the WPT High Rollers event in Marrakech after beating Dominik Nitsche in a heads up battle to take home the title and a nice little €135,535 payday. Ross bested a field of 45 players who all stumped up the €9000 entry fee to take part in this event, one of which was his brother and fellow Mobster Barny who finished a respectable 4th pocketing him self €41,017 for his efforts.
The 45 entrants generated a total prize pool of €356,671 so it was no surprise to see players such as Scott Montgomery, Anthony Lellouche, Liz Leiu, and Tony G all turning out for the event.
Top 6 standing were
1 Boatman Ross €135,535
2 Nitsche Dominik €82,034
3 Bichon Thomas €55,284
4 Boatman Barny €41,017
5 Kammerer Serge €28,534
6 Bennis Najib €14,267
