Cereus Poker Network adds new security measure

With their clouded history revolving around the Super-User scandal that plagued both UB Poker and Absolute Poker under their old ownership group, the Cereus Poker Network has taken many steps to give their players –current and potential—the peace of mind that the Cereus Poker Network is safe and secure.

The latest addition to the sites’ security is the capability for UB Poker and Absolute Poker players to purchase a unique security token through the sites’ frequent player point’s stores. For 6,500 points players can purchase a security token that will be synched to UB or Absolute Poker servers and mailed directly to your home.

What the security token does is randomly generate a unique numeric code that must be entered when you log into the site’s software. The code will change with every log-in and will only be visible by the player. This added layer of security makes it virtually impossible for a hacker to compromise your account even if they have your log-in information, since without the code generated by your security token their attempts to log into your account will be thwarted.

In a press release earlier this week UB sponsored pro Joe Sebok stated: “We are committed to doing everything possible to safeguard our network and players and we want to provide every option to boost their personal security, particularly those who keep sick amounts of cash in their accounts day-to-day…”

Just remember if signing up at UB Poker to use a Referral Code Absolute Poker also accept referral codes.
