Chili Poker announces US-friendly site
The French online poker site Chili Poker has announced the creation of a US-friendly online poker room that will launch within the next year. The US arm of the Chili Poker gaming empire will feature a subscription-based poker room to conform to current US regulations concerning online gaming sites.
Chili Poker CEO Alex Dreyfus stated, “We are very excited about this new dimension to our business. Our economies of scale will help this be a strong mechanism for further growth and it will help fill the void that exists in markets where online gaming is restricted and consumers want to play poker. In markets where we operate online gaming, this new product will provide consumers with more choice.”
Chili Poker currently has a worldwide poker room, as well as a recently receiving a gaming license from the French government, which led to the creation of ChiliPoker.fr. The face of Chili Poker is poker pro Liz Lieu.
The announcement by Chili Poker comes on the heels of Harrah’s and Foxwoods creating similar online poker rooms, and points to better days on the horizon for online poker players in the United States –it’s doubtful these companies would take the first step into the US market without reliable data pointing to legalization in the not so distant future.
