Poker News BoyEvery day the poker world is inundated with more news, reports, and gossip, than any of us can read. At PokerNewsBoy.com we understand that there are only so many hours in the day, and only so much time you can set aside to follow all of the stories taking place, so we have come up with the Daily Grind as a solution. The Daily Grind will make sure you don’t miss any of the more obscure poker stories, wrapping up the day in poker in one neat, concise, column.

Today in the Grind I’ll update you on the love lives of Sam Trickett and Vanessa Selbst, Andrew Brokos’ new coaching gig, and a potential advancement for inter-state online poker.

Sam Trickett pops the question and gets a “Yes”… obviously

The first engagement that came to light last week was Sam Trickett popping the question to his longtime girlfriend Natasha Sandhu, which he detailed in just 140 characters:

I havent got round to telling everyone yet,but if u havent heard i proposed to @NatashaSandhu last night……!!! she said yes #thankgod ha!

Vanessa Selbst engaged to Miranda Forster

Another big name poker pro, Vanessa Selbst, apparently took the same plunge as Trickett, and got a similar response from her longtime girlfriend Miranda Forster:

Got engaged to @mm_forster! Told her I did it tonight because I thought it would make me lucky for the super high roller tomorrow.

Tournament Poker Edge adds Andrew Brokos

The Tournament Poker Edge training team just got a little stronger with the addition of one of the top online poker tournament players in the game Andrew “Foucault82” Brokos. Brokos was quoted in a press release on the Tournament Poker Edge site as saying, “The folks at TPE have been great about working with me to find innovative ways to teach poker through videos, so I’m looking forward to producing some really interesting content with them.”

Brokos joins other coaches at the site like Mark Alioto, Mike Leah, Daryl Jace, Ben Warrington, Chris Moon, Jeff Romano, and Casey Jarzabek.

Inter-state poker rests in the hands of the Nevada Governor

A recent article in the Las Vegas Review-Journal detailed how Nevada governor Brian Sandoval could implement inter-state online poker if he so desired should a new proposal that was recently introduced become law.

Assembly Bill 5 would allow Governor Sandoval to enter into agreements for inter-state online poker with other states that may legalize online poker in the near future:

“The need to make clear the governor’s ability, should he choose to negotiate such agreements, was paramount,” Burnett said. “I don’t know if there are specific negotiations right now.”
