Day 1a of the EPT Prague attracts 191 entrants
Scattered throughout the starting field of 191 players on Day 1a of the European Poker Tour Prague Main Event were a number of Europe’s’ top poker players including the likes of French poker pro Arnaud Mattern, last year’s EPT Prague champion Jan Skampa, and Poland’s Marcin Horecki. By the end of the day only 85 players remained, and of the above mentioned trio only Horecki will be around for Day 2 of the tournament.
Here is a look at the top 10 chip-counts amongst the survivors of Day 1a of the tournament:

10. Orpen Kisacikoglu 123,700
Last year’s Main Event in Prague attracted a huge field of 586 players, with most entering the tournament on Day 1b. Jan Skampa was able to take home the first-prize money of €682,000 by defeating a final table that included Italian poker pro Luca Pagano among others.
Day 2 numbers are projected to be in the 400 player range, with top players, and members of Team PokerStars Pro Johnny Lodden, Marcel Luske, and ex Pkr poker pro Liv Boeree scheduled to be in attendance for the second Day 1 starting flight.
Play will begin tomorrow at noon local time for Day 1b, and the two starting day fields will be combined on Wednesday for Day 2 of the tournament.
