EPT Prague down to 31 players entering Day 4
With the WPT Doyle Brunson Five Diamonds Poker Classic taking place in Las Vegas, Nevada the center of the US poker world at the moment, nearly halfway across the world it’s the European Poker Tour’s annual stop in Prague, Czech Republic that is headlining the European poker scene.
The EPT Prague Main Event is entering Day 4, and the tournament has seen its record-setting starting field of 722 players trimmed down to just 31. And even though the EPT Prague can’t boast the entrant’s list of the WPT Five Diamonds (which had names like Doyle Brunson, Vanessa Selbst, Erik Seidel, and Antonio Esfandiari) the EPT Prague did draw the best and brightest poker minds from Europe, as well as the slew of young online poker pros from the US who have been displaced thanks to Black Friday.
Among the players making the cut on Day 3 of the event was recent Epic Poker League winner Mike “Timex” McDonald, Player of the Year contender Chris Moorman, Nicholas Levi, “Bodog” Ari Engel, Mads Wissing, Jude Ainsworth, and Juan Manuel Pastor.
