The madness continues in the world of online poker, and with the types of actions that are taking place internally across the online poker industry it would seem that legalization and regulation could be the least of our problems!

Yesterday Phil Ivey fired off several status updates on his official Facebook fan page–which when combined equaled an official statement— regarding his disappointment in Full Tilt’s handling of player deposits post-Black Friday, as well as stating that he has filed suit against the company, and would be skipping the 2011 WSOP in protest. Tiltware (Full Tilt Poker) has now released its own statement, and there was nothing official or judicious about it, as the statement called into questions Phil Ivey’s motivations for filing a lawsuit, complete with several scathing accusations. Here is the Full Tilt Poker statement in response to the Phil Ivey lawsuit:

“Contrary to his sanctimonious public statements, Phil Ivey’s meritless lawsuit is about helping just one player – himself. In an effort to further enrich himself at the expense of others, Mr. Ivey appears to have timed his lawsuit to thwart pending deals with several parties that would put money back in players’ pockets. In fact, Mr. Ivey has been invited — and has declined — to take actions that could assist the company in these efforts, including paying back a large sum of money he owes the site. Tiltware doubts Mr. Ivey’s frivolous and self-serving lawsuit will ever get to court. But if it does, the company looks forward to presenting facts demonstrating that Mr. Ivey is putting his own narrow financial interests ahead of the players he professes to help.”

   You have enough money to be stored in warehouses, hire the most expensive attorneys and shoot each other’s balls off..well done…but what happens to the money you owe us? I lost $800 and consider it lost unless i am repaid in full. DAMN YOU FTP!! Meantime, I am on 888poker now where there is no scare of having to wait for years till your money is returned after lengthy hearings and court proceedings. I feel safe with 888poker because it is legal poker and is regulated by strict procedures. Glad to be playing again though FTP screwed my head big time!

   It was fun while it lasted. And well done FTP for nicking off just at the right time with god knows how much money. Might give it a try myself. Cheers
