Harrison Wilder wins WSOP $1,500 Limit Holdem
When the remaining nine players in the $1,500 Limit Holdem tournament took their seats at the final table on Sunday the odds on favorite had to be two-time bracelet winner Scott Clements, who was the only player at the final table with a major tournament win on his resume. However, it was a player who not only won his first WSOP bracelet, but was also appearing at his first WSOP final table after cashing for the first time at the WSOP, who would come away victorious.
Harrison Wilder may have been lacking any WSOP results –or any live tournament results for that matter according to thehendonmob.com– but the 29 year-old poker pro who recently moved with his family to Nevada is no stranger to the green felt, which just goes to show that just because a player isn’t a regular on the tournament trail they are not to be regarded lightly.
As is normally the case in a Limit Holdem tournament, virtually every player watched their chip stack go up and down at the final table, and the entire table must have breathed a collective sigh of relief when Clements was eliminated fairly early on in the proceedings, busting out in 9th place.
Here is a look at the final table payouts for Event #6, the $1,500 Limit Holdem tournament:
1. Harrison Wilder – $205,065
2. Thomas Jamieson – $126,654
3. John Myung – $89,840
4. Willliam Davis – $64,625
5. Matthew Elsby – $47,138
6. Sean Nguyen – $34,864
