Hellmuth runner-up for 2nd time at 2011 WSOP

For Phil Hellmuth, the last of his 11 World Series of Poker bracelets won came all the way back in 2007, and for the second time at the 2011 WSOP the “Poker Brat” came up just short of bracelet #12 after finishing as the bridesmaid for the second time this time in the $10k Seven-Card-Stud hi/lo Championship –earlier in the 2011 WSOP Hellmuth finished second to John Juanda in the $10k No Limit 2-7 Lowball Championship.

While Hellmuth will see little consolation in missing out on adding to his all-important Gold Bracelet count, he did take over the 2011 WSOP Player of the Year lead, and still has about two-dozen chances left to win bracelet #12.

Just getting to heads-up play in the tournament was no easy feat considering the final eight players included Joe Tehan, Ali Eslami, John Racener, Ted Forrest, and David Benyamine. But in the end it would Eric Radowig who would deny Hellmuth his 12th WSOP bracelet while picking up his first in the process.

Here is a look at the final table payouts from the Seven-Card-Stud hi/lo Championship:

1. Eric Radowig – $442,183

2. Phil Hellmuth – $273,233

3. John Racener – $171,122

4. Ted Forrest – $123,904

5. David Benyamine – $96,836

6. Mikhail Savinov – $77,222

7. Joe Tehan – $62,710

8. Ali Eslami – $51,750
