Hidden Headlines: Lederer sighting, FeltStars closes and more
There has been quite a bit of gossip going on in the poker world over the past few days, along with all of the usual stories, rumors, and news. The big gossip has to do with separate stories regarding two former Team Full Tilt Poker members (who seem to have no love lost for one another), Howard Lederer and Phil Ivey. In addition to some juicy tidbits regarding these tow there was also the closing of yet another online poker room on the Merge Gaming Network, as well as a second Lederer story, as poker blogger DiamondFlush continues to crucify his previous interviews on her eponymously named blog.
Howard Lederer playing in Bobby’s Room and the Aria?
The poker world is about as divided as a crowd at a presidential debate over the recent sightings of Howard Lederer playing in Bobby’s Room at the Bellagio and in Ivey’s Room at the Aria (which is somewhat comical considering the disdain Ivey and Lederer seem to have for each other).
Lederer seems to have been openly welcomed into these high-stakes games by the players, but with Full Tilt Poker players around the globe still waiting for their account balances the issue has been very hot in the poker community.
Here is my take on the whole matter: https://pokernewsboy.com/poker-gossip/should-howard-lederer-be-barred-from-playing-poker/13181
DiamondFlush takes Howard Lederer to task
Howard also is getting smashed by poker blogger DiamondFlush after bailing on a scheduled with her. DiamondFlush has been very busy penning blogs, using Howard’s own words in his other interviews with the information she has gathered, DF has refuted many of the statements Lederer made to PokerNews and the 2+2 PokerCast.

Phil Ivey gets the Full Tilt treatment from a London casino
Another odd poker story that has been a hot topic on the poker forums was a London Casino’s refusal to pay Phil Ivey after a mammoth session of Baccarat that saw the poker superstar take the casino for some $11 million.
According to reports the casino is investigating the session, apparently focusing on Ivey’s companion (described as an attractive Asian woman) who has some type of history in UK casinos. We’ll keep you posted on whether or not Phil receives the $10 million he won (the casino did wire Ivey his initial $1 million stake).
FeltStars closes
Yet another online poker site is closing up shop, as the US-facing Merge Gaming Network announced that FeltStars would be closing and players at the site would need to transfer their balances to another Merge Gaming Network room. This is the second Merge room to close down in recent weeks, joining BluffRoom as failed Merge Gaming sites.
