Hidden Headlines: Stuey the LAG, Lederer back and more
It’s been an interesting week in the poker world as the leadup to the WSOP Main Event final table dominated most of the headlines, but there were plenty of other stories going on across the poker world. Here is a look at some of the stories you may have missed while browsing around for WSOP Main Event info.
Old WSOP tapes surface
Jessica Welman unearthed the poker equivalent of King Tut’s tomb recently, finding some dictated tapes of WSOP Main Event final tables from 1995-2000. Among the tapes was Stu Ungar’s third WSOP win in 1997, which was later analyzed by Leggo Poker’s “Clayton” who determined Stu Ungar was the first LAG in poker.

Howard Lederer plays the Festa al Lago Main Event
In recent weeks the poker world has thrown their arms in the air in complete disgust, as Howard Lederer was spotted in several poker rooms around Las Vegas. Now Lederer is coming into even closer contact with the people he nearly cost $350 million, entering in the Fesat al Lago Main Event, an open-event where Lederer would not simply be rubbing elbows with Huck Seed, Doyle Brunson and Eli Elezra, but with people that Full Tilt Poker may still owe money!
So far there haven’t been anything more than social media outbursts at Lederer’s presence.
