Jungleman12 bests Isildur1 at Full Tilt Poker

Isildur1 has been absent from the high stakes since his roller-coaster ride at the end of 2009 and early 2010: Over the course of 2010 Daniel ‘Jungleman12’ Cates has usurped the mantle of the most talked about young online phenom. So, when two of the most talked about online poker players over the past year wind-up squaring off against one another you can be sure the match will dominate the poker forum talk for a few days.

On Saturday Isildur1 and jungleman12 found themselves in a high-stakes heads poker match that saw both players up big at different points. But, in poker the only number that matters is the tally after the last hand, and this number went in jungleman12’s favor after he slowplayed a turned set against Isildur1’s Ace-high –which he led on every street.

The action played out across two $100/$200 heads-up No Limit Holdem tables on Full Tilt Poker, and only came about because jungleman12 was waiting for Tom ‘durrrr’ Dwan so the two players could resume their challenge match –After Isildur1 left Dwan and Cates put in a small 582 hand session that finished with Dwan about $1,500 on the good side, but still trailing Cates overall to the tune of nearly $700k.
