The World Series of Poker Circuit Series was in Biloxi, Mississippi for the IP Biloxi WSOPC Main Event this past weekend, and 300 players registered for the tournament, creating a prize-pool of over $400,000 with the winner of the WSOPCIP Biloxi Main Event pocketing over $100,000. In the end it was a familiar face in the winner’s circle as Kyle Cartwright won his record-tying fifth WSOPC tournament, and is now tied with Mark “Pegasus” Smith as the only holders of five WSOPC Rings.

On his way to his historic victory, Cartwright had to deal with a very tough final table that included recent WSOPC Ring winner and former November Niner John Dolan, who made the final table and managed to book a third-place showing in the tournament, capping off a very strong WSOPCIP Biloxi series.

Cartwright is one of the top young talents in tournament poker as the Tennessee native now has nearly $570k in career tournament earnings; a staggering number considering Cartwright has only been on the live tournament scene for less than two years! Cartwright has four WSOP cashes including a final table in 2011, and two of his five WSOPC rings have come in Main event tournaments.
