Negreanu’s TV cash game troubles continue

Daniel Negreanu’s struggles on GSN’s High Stakes Poker are bordering on legendary, with the poker superstar getting pummeled week after week. Whether it’s bad beats, coolers, or even a questionable decision because of the effects of the first two, Negreanu has been unable to get anything going on the popular show.

After 4 appearances on the PokerStars.net Big Game Negreanu seemed to have overcome his televised cash game woes; winning close to $200,000 in those appearances. However, in this week’s episodes the wheels have come off, and Negreanu finds himself stuck over $200k after just 19 hands!

Negreanu’s main beneficiary was Barry Greenstein who made a couple of big hands and won two huge pots and is up $170K; Justin Bonomo also had a nice 20 hand run where he banked over $120k.

There is still the upcoming episode that Tony G blogged about where he supposedly decimates the table, and lightens the bankroll of Daniel Negreanu –not to mention that Tony claims to have completed tilted Phil Hellmuth.

There is still a lot of poker to be played on this week’s Big Game episodes, and as the face of PokerStars I highly doubt Negreanu will quit the game –as some other players have done after suffering 6-figure losses—no matter how much he is down.
