Partypoker Launches ‘partypoker Ladies’ Community To Encourag

Female poker players have complained for years that they were not getting the same amount of respect and attention that their male counterparts do at the poker tables. Their argument was valid as the game of poker has always been male dominant as seen from the recent stats at 2017 World Series of Poker Main Event.

Poker – Male Dominant

A total of 7,221 poker players from all over the world participated in the Main Event which guaranteed the eventual winner a minimum of $1 million in prize money and a prestigious WSOP gold bracelet. However less than 3.7 percent of this playing field comprised of female poker pros which is about 268 players. This huge difference between the male and female poker playing field is a great example of how male dominant the game of poker continues to be.

There are a number of reasons as to why there is a lack of interest from female poker pros. Ladies have been hesitant in the past to embrace the game of poker because male poker pros have disrespected them at the poker tables, make sexual remarks and even laughed at their poker playing skills and as a result, female poker pros have been hesitant to be more active in the poker community.

Female Poker Players Welcomed By Partypoker

Partypoker is looking to address these issues and attract more female poker pros by creating a new poker community known as ‘partypoker ladies’. This will be an exclusive poker community where female poker players from around the world will be able to interact and encourage each other, take part in special ladies only poker tournaments and leverage unique social media tools to promote and market themselves.

Partypoker has been on a mission to rebuild its poker player database and reestablish itself as one of the premier poker operators in the world. The poker operator launched special ladies only this year at popular partypoker tournaments such as the partypoker MILLIONS which took place at the Dusk Till Dawn casino and the partypoker LIVE Grand Prix Killarney festival. The online poker operator will also run a special online ladies only event called the $109 buy-in Powerfest Ladies which is a part of the ongoing Powerfest series.

The ladies only event will take place on September 24 and will have a total of $10,000 in guaranteed prize money. Partypoker has also created special Facebook and Instagram accounts for its female poker pros and both accounts are growing daily.
