Partypoker’s Announces Return Of ‘The Big Game’ At MILLIONS
partypoker’s very popular televised cash game is set to return next month. ‘The Big Game’ will make its return to the first ever partypoker MILLIONS event in Germany and will feature its first ever Pot Limit Omaha edition. The tournament will take place from February 8 to 18 at the popular King’s Casino in Rozvadov, Czech Republic.
The Big Game will be just one of the nine events at the MILLIONS Germany. Poker players from all over the world are expected to be in attendance as there are a number of exciting events lined up including a €1 million guaranteed High Roller, a €1 million guaranteed Super High Roller and €5 million guaranteed Main Event.
The Big Game Overview
For The Big Game, players and spectators can expect an eight-handed €50/€100 game that will run for 36 hours non-stop. Starting 6 pm on Saturday, February 10, it will last until 6 am on Monday, February 12. Some of the top poker pros and big name celebrities have already confirmed their participation and include the likes of partypoker Ambassador Sam Tricket, businessmen Rob Yong and Yair Bitouin, noted actress and WSOP Ladies Event winner Jennifer Tilly and poker pros Phil Laak, Viktor Blom and Philipp Gruisem.
The Big Game will be hosted by Marianela Pereyra, former Poker After Dark commentator. She won’t be the only host for the 36-hour duration of the game. Commentary and hosting will be done in three languages. English speakers will listen to James Dempsey, Jesse May and Simon Trumper. German commentary will be done by Stefan Hachmeister and Josip Šimunić while Russian viewers will hear and Leonid “LeBroHbka” Logunov and Mikhail Semin share their views. Those planning to watch it on television should check their TV schedules while live streamers will be able to watch the Big Game through the My partypoker LIVE website and app.
The Big Game Format
There is a minimum buy-in of €20,000 and a maximum buy-in of €40,000. There is also a chance for players to win a seat through the partypoker online Big Game Challenge. The online winner will get the $20,000 Big Game buy-in, a $5,300 MILLIONS Online entry, and a €1,100 MILLIONS Open entry. Besides that, they get accommodation for five nights and $900 for travel and expenses. This challenge started on January 25 and will run till February 4.
The Big Game is a popular event with the public because it allows fan interaction. Fans of The Big Game will be happy that the vote-off has come back. Viewers will be able to vote to save their favorite player from being kicked out of the game. The player with the most votes and the most aggressive player will be saved until the next round of voting. However, the player with the least votes will be kicked out.
A new feature is going to be added though. Called the party button booster, anyone who draws the button on first-hand places a dead big blind on the button. As the game continues, every player will add to the button’s big blind. When the button wins the hand, they win the button booster. The process is then repeated, with a chance for future winners.
