After battling his way through a field featuring more famous poker faces than you could possible shake a stick at, Vladimir Geshkenbein took down the title of PKR Head’s up Grand Slam winner.
The Swiss native who is still an amateur is no stranger to big events as earlier this year he triumphed at the APPT High rollers event in Macau, after defeating the legend Johnny Chan and pocketing the title and $266,690.

Geshkenbein took down finish pro and all round poker star Juha Helppi in the final to take home the trophy and a not so shabby $120,000 first prize.

It was defiantly a tough field with pro’s such as The Devilfish, Durrrr, Annette_15, Ian “The Razor” Frasier, JC Tran, Tony G and recent London EPT runner up and current WSOP champion Peter Eastgate all turning up to play this event.

There were several causality’s on day one of this invitational high stakes event such as John Tabatabi, who was eliminated by The Devilfish and Tom “Durrrr” Dwan who was swept aside by British pro John Duthie.

But still a star studded field returned for day two including Antonio Esfandiari, Vicky Coren, Lex Veldhuis and Sandra Naujoks but none of them could make it as far as Geshkenbein.

After such a star studded field I’m sure that next years event will be twice as big and twice as Juicy.
