PokerNewsBoy has you covered for the 2012 WSOP

Posted by Steve Ruddock on May 13, 2012 Posted in Poker News | No Comments »

The World Series of poker is right around the corner and as usual PokerNewsBoy.com will be bringing you all the big stories from the nearly 6-week long tournament series. However, since the WSOP.com website will have full reports on each tournament, the main focus of our reporting will be on the side-stories and overlooked news coming out of the WSOP.

Fear not, we will most assuredly bring you any major news and happenings coming out of the 2012 WSOP, but instead of focusing on all of the bracelet winners and final table chip-counts (which can be found at numerous sites across the Internet) PokerNewsBoy will be looking for the stories that can’t be found at other places, like last year’s “Marked Cards” scandal or the words exchanged between John Juanda and James Bord. We’ll also be keeping an eye on attendance numbers, and how the WSOP staff is interpreting rules and handling patches from online poker sites.

We’ll be calling this daily column the WSOP Notebook and you can look for it to begin on May 27th when the World Series of Poker Casino Employees Event kicks-off. We are hoping to give you an insider’s view into the 2012 WSOP and what is going on behind the scenes. We’ll also be checking in on with several players participating in the WSOP to get their take on how the tournament series is running, and fill us in on any potential gossip.

Here is a look at the 2012 WSOP schedule:
