Randal Flowers becomes youngest 2-time WPT Champion
Coming into the final table of the World Poker Tour Festa al Lago Randal Flowers shot at the poker record books was overshadowed by his tablemate Andrew Frankenberger who was seeking his second World Poker Tour title of 2010.
However, by the end of the day it was Flowers who had stolen the show, not only because he eliminated 4 of his 5 opponents, but also because he put his name in the WPT record books for the second time in his young career. Flowers win makes him the youngest player to win multiple WPT tournaments –this is in addition to Flowers owning the record of Youngest Player to Win a WPT title, which he accomplished at the 2009 WPT Spanish Championship.
Flowers was able to defeat Michael Benvenuti in heads-up play to win the championship, and pocket over $800k in prize-money. After the win Flowers wasn’t shy in letting it be known that he is looking for an online poker site willing to sponsor him.
