Vanessa Selbst has proven to be one of the top tournament poker players in the world over the past couple of years and despite a WSOP brace let in 2008, her coming out party was at last year’s inaugural PokerStars NAPT Mohegan Sun Main Event where the Yale Law student pocketed her first major title as well as her biggest score up to that time at $750,000 –Selbst would go on to win the Partouche Poker Tour Main Event later in the year worth some $1.3 million.

Now Selbst finds herself in familiar territory as she sits atop the leader-board with just 24 players remaining in this year’s NAPT Mohegan Sun Main Event! A repeat win on the NAPT would solidify what many in the poker world already feel, that Selbst is the best female tournament player in the game, and quite possibly the best tournament player in the game period!

Here is a look at the leader-board heading into Day 4 of the tournament:

1.    Vanessa Selbst – 1,406,000
2.    Vincent Rubianes — 1,023,000
3.    Aaron Overton — 907,000
4.    Jacobo Fernandez — 813,000
5.    Adam Geyer – 803,000
6.    Thomas Hoglund Jr. – 629,000
7.    Steve O’Dwyer – 507,000
8.    Joe Tehan — 490,000
9.    Dan Shak – 488,000
10.    Tyler Kenney — 478,000

Just outside of the Top 10 are two very dangerous tournament players in Olivier Busquet and Eric Froehlich, as well as Nenad Medic lurking a little further down the leader-board.

The remaining players will return to the tournament area and play down to the final table of eight players on Tuesday.
