Two weeks in to this years WSOP and the Brits are continuing where they left off last year by winning their fair share of the bracelets. The player in question this time around is Darren Woods, of Team 888Poker who won the $2,500 Limit Hold’Em 6 Max Event. Woods hails from Grimsby and has tasted success at the WSOP before. Last year he won over $74,000 in three events at the annual event, and he also cashed at the WSOPE last September when he finished 35th in the Main Event collecting $21,106 but those finishes have been firmly put in the shade by his efforts over the last couple of days. The final table include Kim Nguyen who was looking to be the first woman to win a WSOP event, but she had to settle for second place behind Woods. Action at the final table was limited by the blinds more so than big hands dominating proceedings but the heads-up battle lasted around 90 minutes before all the chips were committed. The final hand saw Woods have 4h -2h against the K2 suited clubs of Nguyen. The flop of K46 was kind to Nguyen who hit top pair with her King while Woods held bottom pair with his fours. A Jack came on the turn to keep her ahead but a Four on the river gave Woods a set and
