WPT Championship down to 15 poker players

It was a busy day at the Bellagio as the $25k World Poker Tour Championship went from 70 players down to just 15, with the money bubble bursting along the way. The remaining players will retake their seats later today and play down to the televised final table of six players, of which two of those will become instant millionaires considering 2nd place is worth just over $1 million, and the winner will receive over $1.6 million in prize money.

Leading the way on Day 5 of the tournament will be a man very familiar with receiving a big payday at a major poker tournament, 2011 PokerStars PCA Champion Galen Hall, who booked a $2.3 million score in January when he defeated Chris Oliver in heads-up play to win the PCA title.

Another player looking to make a bit of history is 2010 WPT Champion David Williams, who finds himself sitting on an extreme short-stack, but with an M around 10, Williams still has plenty of time to make a move up the leader-board.

Here is a look at the top 10 chip counts heading into Day 5 of the WPT Championship:

1.    Galen Hall — 3,438,000
2.    Sam El Sayed — 2,774,000
3.    Roger Teska — 2,194,000
4.    Scott Seiver — 2,001,000
5.    Shannon Shorr — 1,786,000
6.    Steven Kelly — 1,674,000
7.    Tony Gargano — 1,577,000
8.    Ashton Griffin — 1,474,000
9.    Nenad Medic — 1,282,000
10.    Justin Young — 1,249,000
