Patterson Scoops WPT bestbet Bounty Scramble $375k Prize

Sept-WG-Poker-BBJAX-WPTThe World Poker Tour came to Jacksonville, Florida from the 25th October to the 10th November for its bestbet Bounty Scramble, an entertaining event which attracted a field of 412 poker players and came with a huge prize pool of almost $2 million. The televised main event saw Tyler Patterson topped the final table and winning the game to take home the coveted top prize worth $375,270.

Patterson, from Scotsdale, Arizona triumphed over his opponents who included Jake Schwartz, Ryan Dunn, Marvin “Duckman” Karlins, Stan Jablonski, and Ben Zamani to win his first World Poker Tour title.

The WPT bestbet Bounty Scramble had thirty players each with $2,500 bounties on their heads throughout the tournament, including the novelty of celebrity players. Patterson was rewarded with the Bounty Last Longer trophy and a bottle of champagne from bestbet Jacksonville for being the final bounty player left in the competition.

Patterson’s career tournament earnings have now exceeded $2 million and his recent success has ensured him a $15,400 seat in the WPT Tournament of Champions.

The televised final was a gripping event, with Benjamin Zamani coming in second with over $252,000 and Stan Zablonski in third with $162,000. The competent was stiff and it wasn’t until the 85th hand that a player was first eliminated. Schwartz was eliminated in sixth place, good for $72,153, and during the 108th hand of play Stan Jablonski took his last stand and bowed out. Jablonski did manage to rack up 700 Hublot WPT Player of the Year points for his finish, giving him 1,400 points overall. David Paredes came in second place of the points race with 1,200.

Patterson won the game after Zamani flopped an open-ended straight draw. His failed move allowed Patterson to swoop in and claim victory.

After Jacksonville, the WPT continues on to Canada for the WPT Montreal Main Event from the 13th November to the 19th.
