Entraction Poker Network bars players from 6 countries

This week the Entraction Poker Network made good on its previous warnings that it would be banning players from select countries around the globe (countries where legislation has made online poker illegal in some way, shape or form). The countries that have been put on Entraction’s “No-Play” list include Canada, Russia, Norway, Israel, and Turkey.

A representative from Victor Chandler (perhaps the best known Entraction Poker Network site) told Pokerfuse.com that the network has taken the necessary steps and “no longer allows costumers from Canada”. The representative went on to say that the players from Russia, Norway, Israel, and Turkey have also been barred from the site.

Entraction offered up no reason for the banning of players from these countries, but as I stated above all of the affected regions have had stricter laws put in place governing online poker. Entraction was formed in 2002 and was amongst the first poker networks to leave the US market following the UIGEA legislation that was passed in 2006.

Entraction is the 11th largest poker site/network in the world according to pokerscout.com and counts such high-profile poker sites as Devilfish Poker, Victor Chandler, Betsson Poker, NoIQ Poker, and Noxwin Poker. The entire network encompasses dozens of online poker rooms, and thus far the barring of players from these locales hasn’t had a visible impact on player traffic across the network.

In addition to online poekr a number of Entraction sites offer online casino games including instant play slots
