The debate as to whether poker is a game of skill or chance has gone on for decades mainly because it has always been difficult for poker players to win consistently whether it is live poker action or online poker. However there are a few elite poker pros that have managed to win consistently and establish a reputation for themselves as being the best poker pros in the world. Names like Daniel Negreanu, Phil Ivey, Phil Helmut, Daniel Colman and Fedor Holz are definitely ranked in this elite class.

The 23 year old Fedor Holz has won more than $23 million in career prize money and is ranked number one on Germany’s all time career prize money list and in sixth place on the global all time money list. Holz won the $111,111 High Roller for One-Drop event at the 2017 WSOP and cashed out with $4.9 million and his first WSOP gold bracelet.

Holz has won a number of other prestigious tournaments such as the PokerStars Championship Super High Roller event in Macau this year, cashing out with more than $868,000 and the Super High Roller 8 Handed event in 2016 in Barcelona Spain where he won $1.47 million. The poker pro has credited his consistent success at the poker tables towards mental coaching as it helped him build a successful mindset.

The German poker pro is not playing the 2017 WSOP and will most likely not take part in another WSOP tournament as in 2016, Holz stated that it was too tedious and he preferred to play at other smaller tournaments and concentrate on business ventures.

One of those business ventures was launching a company known as Primed Mind. Holz’s company recently released a poker training and mentoring app also known as Primed Mind which is available via the Apple and Google Play Store. The app has received more than 2,000 downloads in the first 24 hours and can be downloaded free of cost but access to premium content requires a payment of $14.99 per month.

The Primed Mind app has a number of freebies that give players, athletes and students a glimpse into what is on offer and how the app and its coaching classes could assist them. The app also has a special primer for the WSOP Main Event which is currently underway at the Rio in Las Vegas. Poker pros will find the app different from other coaching apps and websites because Holz is playing a key role in developing, recruiting and promoting the Primed Mind app.
