merge gaming rakebackA large percentage of the few online poker rooms that still allow US players can be found on the Merge Gaming Network, but the most US-friendly poker network in existence even had to halt new signups from the US for a considerable period in the aftermath of Black Friday. Now it appears the network will once again be allowing rooms like Lock Poker to accept new recruits from the US for their online poker games in industry reports are to be trusted.

The blackout for new US players on the Merge Gaming Network has been going on for nearly three months now, but according to many outlets like PokerAffiliateSolutions, the network is preparing to reenter the US Market in the near future:

“Today, Sportsbook.ag reopened to new U.S. players, which indicates that Merge Gaming will also finally be reopening to the U.S. market. In fact, our sources at Merge Gaming have informed us that they will likely begin accepting new U.S. players in the next week, over two months after instituting a temporary block on new U.S. sign-ups. The move comes as traffic growth on the network has slowed after extreme growth in late April/early May following the events of Black Friday.”

The reentry of Merge Gaming Network sites will be a welcome boon for the poker affiliates that have been struggling to sign-up new players since Black Friday, and have been struggling to replace the loss of Full Tilt Poker players as the site has been shut-down completely for well over a month now. Hopefully reputable Merge Gaming Network sites like Lock Poker, Hero Poker, and Carbon Poker can help fill that void.
