2011 EPT London Main Event hits home stretch
After four full days of heated action at the PokerStars EPT London Main Event the tournament is down to just three tables, paring the starting field down from 691 players to just 24. Each of the remaining players is guaranteed a payday of at least £19,000, but after surviving coin-flips, suck-outs, and catching their own bit of luck, the remaining players are without doubt eyeing the £750,000 that will be awarded to the winner of the tournament.
Leading the way into Day 5 of the six-day tournament will be Mattias Bergstrom of Sweden, although his lead over the players in the #2 and #3 spot on the leader-board is almost non-existent, as Adria Balaguer and Pascal Hartmann both joined Bergstrom in the 1.8 million club at the end of the day. In fact, the Top 10 chip counts are all over 1 million chips, making this one of the most hotly contested major tournaments in quite some time.
Here is a look at the players who will enter Day 5 of the EPT London Main Event with 1 million or more chips:
1. Mattias Bergstrom – 1,838,000
2. Adria Balaguer – 1,828,000
3. Pascal Hartmann – 1,800,000
4. Jeremy Kottler – 1,693,000
5. Benny Spindler – 1,421,000
6. James Mitchell – 1,365,000
7. Basile Yaiche – 1,245,000
8. Kevin Iacofano – 1,122,000
9. Martins Adeniya – 1,08,1000
10. Andre Klebanov – 1,000,000
Day 5 will see the remaining players pared down to just the eight lucky members of the 2011 EPT London Main Event final table.
