2013 Aussie Millions schedule of 26 events released
The 2013 Aussie Millions schedule has been released, and this time around the tournament series will host 26 events over the course of a three-week period in late January and into early February. Poker players will find a good mix of tournaments, both in terms of buy-ins and formats, with most of the preliminary events clocking in at $1,100.
Also on the schedule is the Aussie Millions Main Event which has grown into one of the most coveted titles in all of poker, as well as the now-staples at the Crown Casino, the $100k and $250k Super-High-Roller Challenges.
For the first time the Aussie Millions will have a bit of competition as the World Series of Poker has also announced a tournament series that will take place in Australia, although the WSOP events will be a few months after the Aussie Millions. We’ll have to see what kind of impact a second major tournament series will have on the Aussie Millions.
Last year the Aussie Millions Main Event was won by Oliver Speidel, marking the fourth straight year an Aussie has captured the title. Other former Aussie Millions winners include Gus Hansen, Alexander Kostritsyn, Lee nelson, and Tony Bloom.
