2013 WSOP Notebook June 14: Nolan Dalla’s blog game and more
This year PokerNewsBoy.com will be bringing you all of the important news from the World Series of Poker, but we’ll also be scouring the Internet for some of the little tidbits that fall through the cracks. Our WSOP Notebook column will focus on anything controversial, funny, or just downright strange, so if you happen across an interesting bit of information please post it here: OFFICIAL 2013 News and Notes and if we find it newsworthy it will make the column along with a special thanks to the person who brought it to light.
Nolan Dalla is straight-up crushing the poker blog game
If you haven’t stumbled upon Nolan Dalla’s personal blog yet you are missing out on some high-quality material. Nolan’s blog is full of rants on everything from airplane faux paus to politics, with a healthy dose of poker and gambling stories mixed in.
Currently Nolan is in the midst of a long series on the 2003 WSOP (Dalla was hired at Binion’s Horseshoe just before the 2003 WSOP) and the series is pure poker gold. Here are the links, and enjoy:

Poker pros take a break from WSOP for Bet Raise Fold premiere
There aren’t many things that drag poker players outside during the 6-weeks of the World Series of Poker, but the premiere of the poker documentary Bet Raise Fold: The Story of Online Poker, was one of those things –I believe the only other known carrot some players will follow out of the Rio is Coachella.
The premiere was held at the Palms Casino, and those invited were among the biggest names in the game; from Tom Dwan to Mike Sexton. Overall the reviews have been stellar for the documentary, but the real test will come when the viewer is someone who doesn’t know the original screen-name of Prahlad Friedman at Ultimate Bet.
The brain-trust that created Bet Raise Fold: The Story of Online Poker was Jay Rosenkrantz, Taylor Caby, and filmmaker Ryan Firpo.
Pokerfuse.com has an excellent write-up on the premiere: http://pokerfuse.com/news/media-and-software/bet-raise-fold-premiers-13-06/
