Allen Bari wins first WSOP bracelet

Two players have already crossed their names off the “Poker Pros without a bracelet” list thus far at the 2011 World Series of Poker. Eugene Katchalov won his first bracelet in the $1,500 Seven-Card-Stud tournament (Event #5) and now Allen Bari has joined him after his win in the $5,000 No Limit Holdem tournament (Event #4).

The tournament saw an extra day added due to the new Hard-Stop rule at the WSOP, and it seemed like Allen Bari would cruise to victory considering he held about 75% of the total chips in play with just four players remaining. But Sean LeFort would give Bari a bit of a sweat, working his stack up to over 4 million chips before being eliminated in 3rd place, which left only Maria Ho for Bari to contest with.

With a massive 11 million to 2 million chip-lead, it didn’t take long for Bari to eliminate the former Amazing Race competitor and wrap-up his first WSOP bracelet –which apparently came with a $20,000 bonus courtesy of Shaun Deeb who tweeted the two had a prop bet on who would win a bracelet first.

Here is a look at the final table payouts from Event #4, the $5k NLHE tournament:

1. Allen Bari — $874,116

2. Maria Ho — $540,020

3. Sean LeFort — $348,128

4. Nicholas Blumenthal — $255,028

5. Thomas Ross — $189,574

6. Ricky Fohrenbach — $142,821

7. Jesse Chinni — $108,914

8. Mikhail Lakhitov — $84,033

9. Farzad Bonyadi — $65,535
