In a press release issued on Thursday the Poker Pros Network poker room announced it would be leaving the Cake Poker Network in order to comply with current US laws regarding online poker. The press release also detailed that PPN will be moving to proprietary network in the near future, and would change its domain from PokerProsNetwork.com to PokerProsNetwork.eu.

The change will take effect on August 31, 2011 after which time the site will no longer be accepting new customers from the United States; while existing players will still be allowed to partake in the games at the site. The site plans to unveil their new proprietary software in beta version sometime this fall, with new features such as live dealers and dealer choice games.

“We here at PPN are dedicated to improving our software, creating a safe environment for players to compete, and encouraging our pros to be available to customers at all stake levels,” said owner Chuck Kidd. “It’s been a lot of work, but what we’re introducing later this year should turn the online poker industry on its head.”

The Poker Pros Network is one of the newest online poker rooms having started its life just months before Black Friday changed the face of online poker in the United States and across the globe. The site features a number of sponsored players including TJ Cloutier, Kevin Vandermissen, and Chris “Fox” Wallace.
