Poker News BoyWorld Series of Poker aside there was A LOT of news coming out of the poker world this past week, with everything from the International Stadium Poker Tour (ISPT), the Full Tilt Poker and PokerStars deal, and even an auction for the assets of the Federated Sports + Gaming in the news.

PokerStars deal to purchase Full Tilt Poker reportedly still on

It seems like the potential deal that would see PokerStars purchase Full Tilt poker has fizzled since it was first announced back in April, but all rumors and gossip are saying that the deal is still on. Apparently a major hurdle that still needs to be cleared is the missing money from Full Tilt Poker due to the site processing E-Checks without verifying that the depositors had funds available in their bank accounts.

According to “Chinamaniac” at VegasPokerRadio.com, shoddy bookkeeping has made it uncertain which players actually owe money from the E-Checks debacle. You can read more about this here: VPR Forums

More news from the International Stadium Poker Tour

It appears that the International Stadiums Poker Tour is actually going to happen, as the monumental undertaking headed by Laurent Tapie has set a date for the first tournament at Wembley Stadium. You can read more about the ISPT or register for the tournament (which is boasting a $20 million prize-pool) by visiting the ISPT website.

Federated Sports + Gaming auctions off assets

The Heartland Poker Tour, Global Poker Index, Epic Poker League brand, and numerous other assets owned by the bankrupt Federated Sports + Gaming were auctioned off this week, with Pinnacle Entertainment putting in the winning bid. Pinnacle ended-up paying $4.2 million for the HPT and a further $300k credit for the company’s other assets.

Andrew Feldman “The Secret Millionaire”

24 year-old Andrew Feldman will once again be on television in the UK, but this time it won’t be at a poker table. Instead the high-stakes poker pro will be on the hit Channel 4 show The Secret Millionaire.

The show sends wealthy men and women to impoverished areas and has them work for charities and helping out in other ways. Feldman will be the youngest ever “Secret Millionaire” in the show’s history.

Feldman’s episode will air on Monday 25 June at 21:00
