Lisandro tops tough field to win WSOPE tourney
Capturing his fourth World Series of Poker in the past two years –his fifth in four years– Jeff Lisandro is quickly rising up the a number of the ‘All-Time’ lists at the World Series of Poker. Lisandro’s latest win came in the £5,000 buy-in Pot Limit Omaha Championship at the 2010 World Series of Poker Europe, and earned the poker pro £159,514 as well as the coveted gold bracelet.
The win was Lisandro’s first in a non-Stud Poker tournament, and was well-earned considering the formidable lineup of poker pros he had to defeat on his way to the title: 2006 WSOP POY Jeff Madsen, , 2010 WSOP Final Table member John Racener, Party Poker sponsored pro Felipe Ramos, rising star Joe Serok, and European stars Jeff Kimber and Karl Mahrenholz. Also at the final table of Event #2 were two players from Event #1’s final table, Chris Bjorin and Willie Tann an amazing accomplishment for any single player, let alone two!
Here is a look at the final placings and prize-money from the £5,000 PLO Championship:
1. Jeff Lisandro £159,514
2. Joe Serock £98,262
3. Willie Tann V71,184
4. Jeff Madsen £52,542
5. John Racener £39,486
6. Karl Mahrenholz £30,192
