Mark Radoja wins first WSOP bracelet in $5k Shootout
The amazing streak of first-time bracelet winners continued on Thursday as Mark Radoja captured his first World Series of Poker bracelet in the $5k NLHE Shootout tournament, defeating a very tough final table in the process.–of the 24 winners at the 2011 WSOP only five-time bracelet winner John Juanda had won a WSOP bracelet in the past.
Radoja had to contend with 2010 Card Player Magazine Player of the Year Tom Marchese, 2011 bracelet winner Sean Getzwiller, and poker pros Todd Terry, Jeff Gross, and Adam Junglen amongst others at the final table. In the end it would be the Sit & Go specialist (the tournament being a perfect format for him) Radoja who would walk away with the lion’s share of the prize-pool and his first WSOP bracelet in just his second career final table –Radoja also has 8 previous WSOP cashes on his resume.
